The map above displays the increase or decline of GDP for various areas of NSW and Victoria. The GDP is a measurement of the material wealth production of the people.

The GDP of all areas of NSW (except the Sydney environs, the corridor between the A.C.T. and the coast and Coffs Harbour) declined by between 0-10% in the financial year 2018/19.

The decimation by the NSW government of primary industries such as irrigation, forestry and mining is a direct cause of this decline.

Conclusion: To ensure their prosperity, the people in The Riverina need to remove themselves politically from the largely anti-primary industry orientated population in Newcastle, Sydney and Wollongong. This entails forming a separate state.

Management of natural resources such as water, timber and minerals by the people in The Riverina will ensure that these resources are administered in a much more responsible and beneficial manner.
