The Man from Snowy River. Banjo Patterson. 1890.

“There was movement at the station, for the word had passed around

That the colt from old Regret had got away,

And had joined the wild bush horses …”

The horse is a particularly noble animal and is an integral part of Man’s history, in war, work and pleasure.

Wild bush horses have been known of since at least 1890 and are a part of Australian heritage. Their culling is the equivalent culling of Australian heritage.

The aerial shooting, apparently averaging 15 bullets per horse, by the NSW government, fails any standard of humane slaughter of any animal.

The Minns’ government, and any other similar government and agent, should be condemned.

David.
