Located on the Mitta Mitta River. Storage capacity of Dartmouth Dam is 3,856,232 megalitres. The water from Dartmouth Dam flows via the Mitta Mitta River into the Murray River and then pools in Hume Dam. -

Located on the Murrumbidgee River near Yass. Storage capacity is 1,026,000 megalitres. Burrinjuck Weir regulates water flow along the Murrumbidgee River. The Murrumbidgee flows into the Murray River near Boundary Bend. -

Located on the Goulburn River at Eildon. Storage capacity is 3,334,158 megalitres. Water from Lake Eildon flows via the Goulburn River into Lake Nagambie at Nagambie. The water in Lake Nagambie is pooled by the Goulburn Weir. The Goulburn River flows into the Murray upsteam of Echuca. -

Located on the Goulburn River at Nagambie. Storage capacity is 25,500ML. The pool of water is called Lake Nagambie. The weir raises the level of the Goulburn River so that water can be diverted along the main irrigation supply channels: Stuart Murray Canal, Cattanach Canal (flowing into Waranga Dam), and East Goulburn Main Channel. -

Located 8km north of Rushworth. Water is pooled by an earthen embankment. Storage capacity is 432,360 ML. Water is supplied by the Goulburn River via the Stuart Murray Canal and Cattanach Canal drawn from Lake Nagambie, as well as its own catchment area. Waranga Basin supplies water to the Central Goulburn Irrigation Area and Rochester Irrigation Area. In addition, the Waranga Western Channel takes water 180 kilometres to Pyramid Hill and Boort. -

Lake Alexandrina Inlet. Commonly called the Murray Mouth.
Located between Encounter Bay and Lake Alexandrina. Interchange of water between the Southern Ocean and Lake Alexandrina occurs through this inlet. Due to the restriction of water interchange by various barrages, the inlet requires regular dredging to prevent ocean deposits closing it.
