I emphasized the need and reasons for a Riverina State. State formation is a compelling cause.

Water and other natural resource management is existential issue in this area. Only a Riverina State can defend our livelihoods from the destructive domination of urban green NSW.

There was some discussion about funding for various government services. I pointed out that as the Basin Plan is scheduled to remove massive amounts of water from productive use in the Griffith area, the local economy will be decimated and jobs and people will permanently disappear. Government funding for any services will be irrelevant to the many people, including attendees, who lose their jobs and are forced to move away.

There is another Meet the Candidates event at the Yanco All Serviceman’s Club on Tuesday 14th March at 6pm hosted by Leeton Shire Council, and another at The Coach House Hotel in Deniliquin on Wednesday 15th of March hosted by the Deniliquin Chamber of Commerce.

I will continue to explain and emphasize the need for a Riverina State. Anything else is a guarantee of economic, financial, and population decline.
