Easter and Election Updates
Easter
Easter is beyond my ability to adequately explain, but includes Good Friday, with its violence, pain, and suffering; Saturday as its shocked and silent aftermath; and Sunday as a stunning and awesome contradiction of the events of Friday.
I hope that all readers benefit from an appropriate Easter.
Linked is Mel Gibson’s movie, The Passion of the Christ. This is a great, and perhaps inspired, depiction of Easter, especially Good Friday. It is realistic, and can be difficult to watch.
Election Updates
Federal: The Riverina State Group currently has 1,481 members. This is short of the 1,500 needed to register a political party Federally. Consequently, without the benefit of the name The Riverina State printed on each voting ballot, the Group will not contest any electorates this Federal election.
Victoria: The Group is progressing well in registering as a Party in time for the Victorian State election in 2026. It is intended that the Group will stand candidates under the name The Riverina State in this election in the relevant electorates.
NSW: The Group is similarly progressing with Party registration in NSW, and intends to stand candidates in the relevant electorates in this State’s election in 2027.
State formation is certain to be achieved with public support and determination. I am confident that here is an abundance of both.
