The current Water Minister, Member for Sydney, Tanya Plibersek, has increased her vote since the last Federal election. Consequently, a continuation of her existing management can be expected.

Following is a summary of her election result from the Australian Electoral Commission.

The Labor government has increased its number of Members of the House of Representatives by seventeen. Consequently, a continuation of Labor’s existing management can be expected.

Following is an election summary from the Australian Electoral Commission.

The Senate has not been finalized. Following is a description of expected results by the ABC’s Antony Green.

Labor has an outright majority in the House of Representatives and is able to pass any legislation unimpeded.

In the Senate, Labor will be able to pass any legislation with the support of any other ten Senators. These other ten Senators will be readily available from The Greens’ eleven Senators, assuming that the legislation is acceptable to The Greens, or if Labor has been able to secure The Greens support via other agreements e.g. maintaining or accelerating completion of the Murray Darling Basin Plan.

In summary, the results of the Federal Election ensure that the decimation of the livelihoods of the people in The Riverina will continue. This ensures that the need for a Riverina State, and the benefit this will have for the people in this State, remains essential.
