David Landini address to the NSW Independent Planning Commission enquiry into the Pottinger Renewable Energy project near Hay, NSW.

Summary of Points.

The structures despoil the natural beauty of the Hay area.

The renewable energy project makes electricity more costly, and while enriching approximately 1% of Australians, makes the remaining 99% poorer.

The premise that burning coal in Australia causes catastrophic climate change is speculative, is based on dubious evidence, and all the speculative predictions have failed to occur. The premise can therefore be considered to be false.

Knowing that these structures are making Australians poorer, and being unavoidably seen due to their prominent location, causes emotional and mental anguish among the local population.

Conclusion

Request that construction cease.

Deconstruct completed construction and return to sender.

If the NSW and Federal governments are adamant that this project be constructed, then build it among the people who want this style of electricity production i.e. Newcastle, Sydney and Wollongong, and not here.
